Allocation - The placing of a position in a class.

Allocation Factors - The work requirements which can be compared in order to measure the similarity and evaluate the level of jobs. Allocation factors include, but are not limited to the following:

• Variety and Scope of Responsibility
• Supervision and Guidelines Received
• Supervision Exercised
• Complexity of Work
• Knowledge and Abilities Required
• Responsibility for Decisions and Actions
• Personal Contacts/Relationships
• Working Conditions/Environment
• Consequence of Error
• Area of Responsibility
• Administrative Responsibility
