When viewing the course, what does colored text do?
green underline =  mouseovers. Point at the text to see notes or reference. You may open another browser session to access the resources and references shown in mouseovers.
blue underline = hyperlink. Click the link to open a new window with supporting information

How do I print the course?
Each page in the course is available to print. To do so, either press the print button in your browser or select "File / Print..." from the menu bar at the top of your browser. If you cannot locate the print button or the menu bar, consult your browser's help documentation for printing instructions.

Should I follow a certain order when taking the course?
Since waste classification is a sequential process, take the course in the order shown on the menu from top-to-bottom. Use the

buttons to move from topic to topic. Once you have completed this course, you may browse the topics in any order for reference purposes.

Do I need any additional software or plug-ins to view the course content?
This course requires an internet browser compatible with Internet Explorer version 6 and Flash Player version 8 or later. If you can view the "success" message below, your system is compatible. If not, you will be prompted to install the latest version of Flash Player. Please note that if you do not have a version of Flash Player 8 or later, you will not be able to view several images, animations and interactive exercises that use this format.

How do I make the text size larger or smaller?
To increase the size of the text in the browser window, change your computer’s resolution. Consult the user guide for your computer.

Where do I find definitions for acronyms and other unique terms?
Click “Glossary” on the main menu for definitions of Waste Classification terms and acronyms.

Where can I find more information about waste classification and management?
The “Resources” page listed on the main menu provides addresses, links and details about many waste-related resources available to you.
