Households and Small Quantity Generators

Federal regulations for hazardous waste exclude hazardous wastes from households and conditionally exempts small quantity generators, and for the most part are not regulated. However, California regulates households and small quantity generators.

Although they qualify for  lesser hazardous waste management requirements, households and small quantity generators must still identify, manage and dispose of (or recycle) hazardous wastes appropriately.
