Detailed Estimate: On-call Contracts

An on-call requires an estimate based on the services required for multiple projects listed in the scope of work. During the contract planning component, the district CSUs and HQ divisions identify contract needs and allocate a contract dollar amount for each proposed contract. The estimated amount is known as the Director’s Estimate, or workplan justification.

Just before submitting the contract request to DPAC, the CM works with the functional unit(s) to create a Director’s Estimate. The Director’s Estimate:

  • provides a breakdown of resources needed for each project listed in the SOW
  • includes a contract summary of the total estimated value of the services the consultant needs to provide, broken down by fund type and fiscal year
  • can be influenced by contract duration
  • is used as the contract amount in the ADM 360 package
